Ford Celebrates Its 7th Year as a World's Most Ethical Company

How would you decide what the world's most ethical company looks like?

If you're Ethisphere Institute, you do it by breaking companies down by five categories of ethics: Ethics and Compliance (35 percent of the score), Corporate Citizenship and Responsibility (20 percent), Culture of Ethics (20 percent), Governance (15 percent), and Leadership, Innovation, and Reputation (10 percent).

Essentially, Ethisphere grades companies by what their written standards are, how well they play by the rules, whether they benefit the environment and community, and whether employees and customers like the company.

Ethisphere's CEO, Timothy Erblich, praised Ford Motor Company for their seven years making the cut. "Ford understands that trust is the cornerstone of everything it does, and their commitment to being an active part of a global community helps explain why they are the only automaker Ethisphere has recognized every year since 2010. Being honored for the seventh time is no small achievement. Congratulations to everyone at Ford for being recognized."
